Questions we get about the EFX5-251
Why choose the EFX5-251 over the BYD EL25-Pro?
The EFX5-251 has stronger drive performance (16 kW, ~17 km/h) and a lower weekly rate. The EL25-Pro answers a different job: 4.8 m full free lift for containers and high racking, plus 100A fast charging. If you do not need FFL or fast charging, the EFX5-251 is usually the better-value 2.5 t.
Can it work a double shift?
The standard 280Ah pack suits a full single shift. For double shifts the battery is modular and can be expanded to 560Ah, or you can use lithium opportunity charging during breaks — we size this against your actual hours during the fit assessment.
What power supply do I need?
The external 60A charger requires a three-phase outlet. If your site only has single-phase power, ask us about the EFL181 or a site power assessment.
